Popular liner notes
"I listened to this while planting garlic last October. The Come On Feel the Illinoise section started while I was kneeling in the dirt with soil on my hands and I just stayed there for a while. I teach the Illinois chapter of the Civil War. I don't know what to do with the fact that a man made this album about a state I've never lived in and it makes me feel things about a state I have lived in my whole life. I've assigned it as listening material twice. Both times students came back changed, which is the only metric that matters."
