In 1994 Guided By Voices, and their newly released “Bee Thousand” album were hyped by countless record store clerks- to an extent that I found off-putting. 🙄 Didn’t finally get around to checking them out until 2006 (thankfully!!), and they’ve been a favorite band for the past twenty years!! 😁. Personally I consider “Bee Thousand” my all-time #1 top favorite “Best Ever Album” of any genre!! Should’ve heeded the helpful hints from all those record shop clerks 30+ years ago 😏
