The Grateful Dead are my heart and soul. I remember listening to "Uncle John's Band", the opening track of this album, for the first time when I was 12 or 13 years old and it stayed with me to this day. The Grateful Dead are the creators of the great American jam band tradition, which is carried forth today by groups like Goose and Billy Strings. Long live The Grateful Dead!
